Think You're Too Old or it's Too Late to Workout? You're Wrong!
The fitness industry often uses marketing to draw in younger, legging wearing women, or shirtless 8 pack men to promote their products or programs. Though this tactic can draw in a younger crowd of fitness seeking individuals, it definitely does not cover a majority of those looking to stay in shape and stay healthy.
My mom is 75 and my dad is 69, both are very active and always maintaining movement in their lives. They don't need to be "slaying" barbells or running marathons to prove they are fit, and they don't. My mom has been doing jazzercise for almost my entire 33 year old life and my dad has been an avid tennis player, runner, and currently during this quarantine - enjoys riding his bike outside.
If you think you are too old to incorporate movement, get stronger, and/or lose some weight - you're wrong! Age is really just a number. Your workout may be modified or you may use different items for resistance, mobility, and overall movement. The purpose of fitness at any age is to maintain functionality in your every day life. As long as you have a loose shirt that doesn't restrict movement, flat shoes, and pants/shorts that don't restrict movement you are geared up and ready to roll.
Part of working with Mutch Fitness is the ability to do it remotely, but the ability to be coached, review your movements and make sure you feel safe every step of the way. Recently remote fitness is live streaming classes meant for all - but I realize that not everyone can keep up, comprehend movements, or feel comfortable just flipping a switch and having a live stream as their first attempt to workout during this quarantine.
