If you’re looking to debloat this season, start by cleaning up the liquid intake for a few days. This can immediately drop some excess water weight, regulate your metabolism, help your skin, and make you more regular.
Read MoreSocial media has really destroyed self-esteem right and left since it came on the scene. It’s distorted, unattainable images that thrust people into body dysmorphia right and left within a matter of seconds. The days of the duck lip face are long gone – we have arrived and are deep in the trend, yes trend, of body modification. I am learning at age 34 what BBL means – Brazilian butt lift. I’m learning that leggings or leaning a way with 200 filters can really make you look like you have a giant ass, but in reality you don’t (which is fine!).

Read MoreIt’s Been 365 Days and some of us….…are still feeling lost on our fitness journey. For me, it’s been a hard year. I started with the same mindset of this will give me ample time to workout. And it has, but other things have kind of gotten in the way of that. For me, it is injury. Yes the back issue I have written about before – still here, still looming. It reminds me that if I workout too much I will be out for a week or two here and there, it also reminds me that something like pushing in a bench can throw it out completely. It’s really annoying if I’m being frank. I went from hauling loads of weight (the culprit) to moving tiny weights, completely seated, and for a longer period of time. I don’t necessarily mind that though…
Read MoreI would guess the past 365 days has been a bit draining for everyone in some way. Our lives drastically changed when our world was shut down and a pandemic swept over the world. Depression, anxiety, and fear mixed with low motivation, changed routines, and being locked inside has given a new set of challenges to all of us.
Read MoreWe are all entitled to living our lives the way we want to. We are in control of the choices we make, which can be healthy or unhealthy. There really is no in between. We stay active or not. We eat nutritious foods or not. We have some sort of routine we stick to or not.

These are words I’ve heard throughout coaching in 2020. These are words I’ll continue to hear as many people are struggling with the curve ball that has been thrown at us all this year.
Read MoreToday, my wife, who is half black, our daughter, and I went on a hike. We are in an area in a cabin surrounded by Trump and “Blue Lives Matter” flags. Most of you think I’m a “tough motherfucker”, but we are out here and I’m afraid of my wife being called the “N word”, or worse. If we are seen as a same sex couple, Asian and Black, with a child, I fear we could be attacked because of how emboldened people are feeling by this current administration. We’ve woken up to the murders of George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery, Jacob Blake being shot 7 times in front of his kids. We’ve woken up to centuries of racism and murder, and we fear what we will wake up to tomorrow.

The basis of Mutch Fitness is to not only pave the way to a healthier long term lifestyle, but to also create an environment where you’re comfortable – even if outside of your normal comfort zone.
Read MoreLet’s be honest everyone, gyms are closed because of it being a true health hazard, but that doesn’t mean you need to lose traction with working out. It’s a new climate out there and everyone is adjusting – I will proudly say though, my Mutch Fitness clients have been killing the home workout game since before COVID.

Read MoreThe fitness industry often uses marketing to draw in younger, legging wearing women, or shirtless 8 pack men to promote their products or programs. Though this tactic can draw in a younger crowd of fitness seeking individuals, it definitely does not cover a majority of those looking to stay in shape and stay healthy.

Read MoreIt’s important we work hard to make sure we don’t pile up excuses and let it prevent us from being healthy and strong. I truly believe no matter where you are, what you have, and how little or much time you have – there is time to workout if you want it.
Read MoreThe funny thing about health is that it can be sneaky. Someone can appear ‘skinny’ or ‘thin’ whatever you want to call it, but that’s just the outward appearance. Are you taking care of the core of your being? Your heart. Are you heart healthy, do you exercise your heart to make it strong, healthy, and long lasting?
